Buying from several Chinese sellers creates a practical question: should the purchases travel together or separately? Order consolidation brings eligible goods together for receiving, agreed checks and shipment planning. It can simplify coordination, but the best option depends on the actual goods and delivery requirements.
Use this checklist before arranging multiple-order consolidation with SinoSeekers.
1. Create a receiving list
Record each seller, product link, ordered variant and quantity. Give every line a reference number and share order or tracking references when available. State whether the purchase is already placed or whether you need buying assistance.
Agree on receiving arrangements before sending goods. A parcel arriving without a matching reference can be harder to identify and reconcile. Ask how split deliveries and missing quantities will be recorded.
2. Define what will be checked
Decide whether you need a count, photographs, a visible-condition check or additional work. Provide a short checklist for details that matter: color, size labels, included accessories or a particular packaging requirement.
These checks have limits. Photographs cannot confirm every hidden defect or performance claim. If you need testing, detailed measurements or a specialist inspection, agree on the scope separately before the relevant purchase or receiving step.
3. Choose what packaging to keep
Do not treat all packaging as disposable. Retail boxes may be important for resale or gifting; protective inserts may be essential for fragile goods. Tell us which labels, instructions, spare parts and boxes must stay with each item.
- Retain retail packaging where presentation matters.
- Review outer packaging for damage before repacking.
- Keep accessories linked to the correct product.
- Approve packaging removal and additional protection in advance.
4. Compare combined and separate shipment options
Ask for packed dimensions and weight when available. Combining parcels can remove duplicate packaging, but a large combined carton, additional protection or incompatible goods may change the result. Some items may be better shipped separately.
Tell the team about batteries, liquids, fragile materials and oversized items early. Eligibility and available routes must be reviewed for the actual goods and destination. Read our shipping and handling information before proceeding.
5. Agree on the waiting period and extra charges
Decide what happens if one supplier is late. You may prefer to wait for the complete list or review an earlier partial shipment. Ask about storage periods, receiving fees, repacking, additional photographs and any other handling charges before goods arrive.
For example, a lamp and a small household item may need different protection. The decision should be based on the packed shipment and your priorities, rather than an assumption that one parcel is always cheaper.
6. Approve the shipping scope before dispatch
Check the destination, transport option, freight price, quotation validity, included delivery services and exclusions. Make clear whether destination charges are included or quoted separately. An early estimate may change after the final packaging is measured.
